Hello my name is Mary, I was born and raised in a small village near Kitale town in Trans Nzoia County. Growing up, I saw many children drop out of school to help on farms, which inspired me to become a teacher, so children could pursue a brighter future.

I love watching my pupils learn how to read and write, as I believe literacy opens the door to every opportunity.

My biggest challenge is the lack of teaching materials—Due to limited funding, I often use personal funds to provide classroom materials and meet students’ personal needs.

With sponsorship, I hope to buy more books for my class and continue my professional development so as to better meet my students’ needs.
